Kate Erickson

MS, ASW

I work with children, adolescents, families, adults, and couples, specializing in trauma, grief, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, and parent coaching, using a variety of therapeutic approaches.

I’m dedicated to helping youth, families, individuals and couples thrive by processing complex emotions and trauma in a safe, compassionate space. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, crisis intervention, LGBTQ+ issues, and parent coaching, offering a supportive and empathetic place for healing. I use a blend of CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and art therapy to meet the individual needs of each client, helping them navigate challenges and foster personal growth.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, families and individuals and in a variety of settings over the past ten years including schools, family agencies, and community settings. I’m passionate about art therapy and offer a client centered approach. I have worked with children and adolescents of all ages and support them in anger management, emotional regulation, and friendship skills through individual and group therapy.

I support the right to client autonomy in the therapeutic process, and work together to develop a mutually respectful and trusting relationship. You may be seeking short term therapy after a challenging life event, or long term therapy to address past trauma and work on developing positive coping skills to live a more fulfilling life. I am here to help guide your journey and together develop realistic, attainable goals for growth and acceptance through a strength based, trauma informed and solution-focused approach.
